Syracuse, N.Y. - The new COVID 19 vaccine from Johnson & Johnson will be available at the New York State Fairgrounds starting this Friday, March 5th.
The distribution is part of a new pilot program at state-run mass vaccination sites.
Appointments will go live at 8 a.m. on Thursday, March 4, and will be available in the overnight hours between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.
This vaccine requires only one shot versus the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines which require 2.
