Onondaga County To Get Larger Supply Of Vaccine

Syracuse, N.Y. - County Executive Ryan McMahon announced the county will receive 6,685 doses of COVID 19 vaccine.

That is almost three times what the county has been receiving. McMahon says the county is getting both Pfizer and Moderna. He said they will put together a schedule and he said they plan on having clinic Wednesday, Thursday Friday , Monday and Tuesday. He also said they will begin vaccinating restaurant workers.

The county reported 73 new cases on Monday and one new death, that of St Bonaventure's president, Dr. Dennis DePerro, who passed away earlier this morning. Dr. DePerro had previously served as a Vice President at Le Moyne College for 18 years.

There are 56 people in the hospital, 7 of which are in the ICU.
