Allegany, N.Y. - A New York University president has died due to complications of COVID-19.
St. Bonaventure University announced in a statement that their president, Dr. Dennis DePerro, passed away earlier this morning.
The 62-year-old DePerro had previously served as the Vice President at Le Moyne College for 18 years.
DePerro, who has served as the university’s president since 2017, was diagnosed with COVID-19 in late December.
