Syracuse Man Gives Up To State Police After 11 Hour Standoff

Syracuse, N.Y. -A suspect is now in custody after a standoff on Daisy Street in Syracuse.

State police say Troopers tried to pull over 38-year-old Anthony Roberts. A chase lead to a home on Daisy St in Syracuse where Roberts barricaded himself inside.

After 11 hours he surrendered to the police and faces the following charges:

  • Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nddegree (loaded firearm), class “C” felony
  • Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rddegree (large capacity ammunition feeding device), a class “D” felony.
  • Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4thdegree (stolen handgun), a class “E” felony
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7thdegree, a class “A” misdemeanor
  • Resisting Arrest, a class “A” misdemeanor
