Oswego Nursing Home Investigated For Sexual Abuse

Oswego, N.Y. - A nursing home in Oswego is being investigated for failing to tell police that 3 residents had been sexually abused by another resident who was already a registered sex offender.

Pontiac Nursing Home in Oswego failed to do check-ins to make sure the resident was not abusing other people. In 2016 two aides from the nursing home were charged with taking undignified photos and videos of residents.

From 2017 to the end of 2020, Pontiac Nursing Home had 102 complaints lodged against them, nearly three times the state average.

The state Attorney General's office is investigating.
