State Senator Rachel May Passes Bills To Protect Nursing Home Residents

State Senator Rachel May moving legislation forward that could change the way the COVID pandemic is addressed in nursing homes.

Senator May said that the AG's recent report on deaths in nursing homes fuelled support for her latest bills. The three bills would expand visitation for selected caregivers, support advocates for residents in senior care facilities, and create a task force that will tackle issues within the long-term care system across the state.

A vote on all three bills are expected within the coming weeks.
