Gov Cuomo Announces Lowering Numbers In Fight Against COVID 19

Albany, N.Y. - Governor Cuomo announced the latest COVID numbers in the state today. The numbers were good, again.

The state positivity rate is 4.38% the lowest rate since the end of November. Nearly 8,000 people are in the hospital statewide, the lowest number since January 2nd.

The 7-day average rate is below 6%, which marks 27 straight days of decline. There were 135 COVID-19 related deaths. Cuomo said, "as we enter into Super Bowl weekend, we cannot get cocky with COVID."

Cuomo announced as of 11am today, New York's Health Care Distribution sites have administered 95% of first doses received from the Federal Government.
