Legislation authored by Senator Rachel May has passed in the State Senate.
The bill reduces the number of signatures needed by any candidate looking to run for public office this year. Candidates will need 70% fewer signatures in order to appear on a ballot. Senator May created the bill in the interest of public health during the coronavirus pandemic.
