Onondaga County Announces "OnList", To Help Seniors Get Vaccinated

Syracuse, N.Y. - Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon announcing a new system to help Seniors sign up for COVID vaccinations.

The "ONLIST" link is expected to go live on Thursday, according to McMahon. Instead of rushing to get online appointments that fill quickly, seniors would be able to sign up on a waiting list. Then, as vaccines become available, those on the waiting list would be picked at random, like a lottery. The first names randomly selected will be eligible for vaccine appointments starting next week.

Kinney Drugs is working with the county to also pick some Seniors from the waiting list. McMahon said he hopes that perhaps the vaccination center at the Fairgrounds might also be able to access the list as well, if the State agrees,

McMahon also said they are still working on a way to include telephone access for those without internet. McMahon said they may possibly work in conjunction with Syracuse University and Kinney, to set up a phone bank registration system.
