Following their first day of the new year without a COVID related death, Onondaga County reporting more loss of life due to the pandemic.
Six people died Thursday, bringing the total to 569 people in the area who have died after contracting COVID-19. There were also 220 new infections announced, continuing a trend where that number has been under 300 the last several days.
