Governor Cuomo has unveiled a new timeline for when a massive construction project will begin on I-81.
The governor said it's scheduled to start in 2022 and called the elevated span that goes through Syracuse poorly designed and obsolete. Right now, the State Department of Transportation is considering taking down the elevated part of the highway and replacing it with new streets.
