Syracuse, N.Y. - A major event in Syracuse will not happen, again, this year, due to COVID 19.
The St. Patrick's Parade in Syracuse has been officially canceled.
The parade was canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic. This year's parade was scheduled for March 13 but organizers and local officials felt it is still too dangerous to hold an event like the parade. Next year's parade is scheduled for March 12.
Parade President Janet Higgins says she has a heavy heart but she is looking forward to 2022 for the biggest and best parade ever.
