Oneida, N.Y. - A Madison County man is being charged with attempted murder after stabbing a woman.
Oneida City police say Tuesday morning around 3, 28-year-old Ronald Campany II allegedly stabbed a person several times and then fled and hid in the home of an elderly relative threatening them with a knife. Campany continues to threaten officers but was finally disarmed and arrested.
He faces a long list of charges:
- Attempted murder, second-degree
- Burglary, first-degree
- Criminal possession of a weapon, third-degree
- Aggravated criminal contempt
- Assault, second-degree
- Criminal contempt, first-degree
- Endangering the welfare of a child, 2 counts
- Criminal mischief, fourth-degree
Campany had been arrested Dec. 23 for violating an order of protection issued for the same victim he stabbed.
He was remanded to the Madison County Jail in lieu of $250,000 cash, $500,000 bond, or $1 million unsecured bond.
