A winner has officially been declared in the 50th State Senate District.
Democrat John Mannion was able to take the lead over Republican Angi Renna after absentee ballot counting resumed in Onondaga County on Monday. Renna formally conceded after Mannion's lead surpassed 2300 votes. John Mannion will now be the first Democrat to hold the 50th Senate District seat in over 50 years.
