Brookfiled, N.Y. - A Brookfield man is facing charges of falsely reporting an incident.
Monday afternoon 18 year old Tyler Wood, called 911 saying someone he didnt know, shot him as he was entering his home.
After receiving medical aid, Wood admitted to investigators that he had accidentally shot himself in the leg and reported the incident as a crime. He's charged with falsely reporting an incident and illegally discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a residence.
