Onondaga County Has Another COVID Death

Syracuse, N.Y. - Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon in his briefing today had more bad news

A caucasian male in his 80's with underlying medical conditions has died.

This comes after an 81 year old woman died Tuesday. This makes 209 residents who have died since March 16th due to COVID 19.

McMahon said there is a direct correlation with the number of cases and the hospitalization numbers. As new cases pop up, more cases need hospitalizations.He said 25 people are in the hospital because of COVID-19 and 9 are in the ICU.

McMahon said quarantines have gone up as well due to the caseload for contact tracers.
