More CNY Schools Adjusting Plans Due To COVID-19 Cases

More Onondaga County schools are reporting cases of coronavirus.

West Genesee district officials announced a student at Split Rock Elementary had tested positive for COVID-19. The school will remain open, and those who may have been exposed will be notified and asked to quarantine.

In the Syracuse City School District, Salem Hyde Elementary officials say they're moving fully remote for the next two weeks after six staff members tested positive. Superintendent Jaime Alicea said that cases of COVID-19 were also found in 7 other buildings, but those schools will remain open after being sanitized over the weekend.
