A bankruptcy judge has officially approved the sale of a factory in Herkimer County.
The Remington gun factory in Ilion has been sold to Roundhill Group LLC for $13 million. Remington's sales had been in sharp decline since 2016, leading the company to file for bankrupcy protection twice. Workers at the nation's oldest gunmaker are hopeful that the investment group will keep the factory open.
