CNY Schools Adjusting To Rise In COVID-19 Cases

COVID-19 cases are causing some CNY schools to make adjustments.

Fayetteville Elementary School officials say that students will be learning remotely after seven teachers tested positive for coronavirus within the past week. Six others are in quarantine, as well as four students.

Cato-Meridian officials are also confirming a second positive case among their students. The school district will now be implementing a mandatory face mask policy for students and staff.

Long Branch Elementary School officials in Liverpool have announced they'll be going remote Monday. School officials say they've notified those who may have been in contact with a student who recently tested positive.

In Oswego County, Hannibal Central School District officials say they're moving to fully remote learning after a staff member tested positive for coronavirus. The district will resume their hybrid model on October 13th.
