Several CNY Schools Switching To Remote Learning Due To COVID-19

COVID-19 cases are closing down some schools in Onondaga County.

Two schools in the Fayetteville-Manlius district will be switching to remote learning after a teacher tested positive for coronavirus. That teacher worked at both Fayetteville Elementary and Wellwood Middle Schools. Other schools within the district will remain open.

Jamesville-DeWitt officials also announced a student at Moses DeWitt Elementary School tested positive for COVID-19. While the individual's class is in quarantine, the rest of the school will remain open.

The Skaneateles School District is going fully remote Friday after a middle school student tested positive for coronavirus. District officials are also cancelling sports and other school activities until Monday as a precaution.

AdditionallyCato-Meridian officials are conducting contact tracing after a student at the Jr-Sr HS contracted the illness.
