SCSD Considering Furloughs Amid State Aid Uncertainty

Employees in the Syracuse City School District may be getting some unpaid days off in the very near future.

Officials say they're considering furloughs that could save nearly one-million bucks a day. With the district unsure if state aid is going to be cut, leaders are already coming up with ways to lower expenses. Any furloughs would have to be approved by the labor unions who represent district workers.
