NYS Nursing Home Visitor Restrictions Relaxed

NYS senior living facilities will begin relaxing some guidelines starting today.

Facilities will now have to be 14 days COVID-free, instead of 28 days initially mandated by the state. Visitors must be over the age of 18, and they must submit proof that they've tested negative for coronavirus within the last 7 days. Additionally, if a nursing home is short staffed, visits will not be allowed at all.
