Dewitt Police Will Hold Public Comment Session

Dewitt, N.Y. - The DeWitt Police Department says they will hold a public comment session regarding their planned response to a state executive order on police reform.

The session will take place in the Town of DeWitt Courtroom on Sept. 24 at 6:30. Social distancing measures will be in place.

It will also be streamed live on the Town of DeWitt's Facebook page.

Some of the issues thye will address are, body cameras for all officers, adding crisis intervention and bias training for officers, and publishing a policy regarding procedures and reporting of physical force by officers
