SUNY Oswego Cancels Sports, Greek Life Following COVID Outbreak

Oswego, N.Y. - SUNY Oswego President Deborah Stanley and SUNY Chancellor Jim Malatras are deciding to suspend athletics and Greek Life for the rest of the semester following a recent uptick in COVID-19 cases.

University officials are also suspending in-person dining and residence hall visitation indefinitely.

There have been more than 100 confirmed COVID-19 cases among SUNY Oswego's campus community. SUNY Chancellor Jim Malatras says he is hopeful the new protocols on will prevent any further spread of the virus.
