Onondaga County Reaches Deal With Local Workers' Union

Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon has formally reached a deal with could prevent county layoffs.

McMahon said that the deal calls for some members of the county's largest union to be placed on furlough in an effort to save money. It also gives eligible employees the chance to apply for early retirement.

Onondaga County currently faces a $30 million budget shortfall.
