Syracuse Police Arrest 16 Year Involved In Weekend Shooting

Syracuse, N.Y. - Syracuse Police have arrested a 16 year old in connection with a weekend shooting.

Sunday afternoon officers responded to the 400 block of Shonnard St. for shots fired. A 48-year-old man told them a 16-year-old boy, who he knew, had just shot at him. A short time later, they found the suspect, along with two others, who then ran.

One was detained,but later released. When police searched the area they found a loaded, defaced, 9mm handgun with multiple rounds inside.

The 16-year-old was not located at the time,but the next day police found him.

When the took him in custody they found a loaded, Polymer 80, untraceable (ghost) gun on him. He faces a varity of charges, regarding both incidents.
