SUNY Oneonta Sending Students Home For The Rest Of The Fall Semester

Albany, N.Y. - Students at SUNY Oneonta will learn remotely from home for the rest of the fall 2020 semester.

SUNY Oneonta officials are reporting almost 400 positive coronavirus cases since the start of its fall 2020 semester, a week ago Monday. They were the first campus in the state to close its classroom doors because of an outbreak. They are now the only SUNY School to pack-it-up for the rest of the calendar year.

They began online only instruction on campus this weeks after exceeding the maximum number of active-cases allowed by the state.
