Syracuse, N.Y. - A Syracuse native will be spending some time in space.
Jeannette Epps, a Corcoran High and Le Moyne College graduate has been chosen for a 2021 mission to the International Space Station.
Epps and two other astronauts will be the first operational crew aboard the Boeing Starliner spacecraft.
This will be Epps’s first time in space. The exact launch date has not yet been set.
