SCSD Votes To Move Start Of School Year

The Syracuse City School District voted to move the first day of classes to September 14th.

The move was made to give staff more time to prepare and understand guidelines for in person learning. Their decision coming hours after the Syracuse Teacher's Association voted to move in person classes to November, citing numerous concerns.

STA President Bill Scott also said that childcare is also a major issue not only for parents in the district, but also the teachers within his union.
