Auburn, N.Y. - A 14-year-old Auburn girl is recovering after being stabbed over an argument about a dog.
Auburn police say the girl was outside her home with her dog when after 36 year old James Scott approached her and claimed that the dog was his.
Scott pulled out a knife and the girl in a panic threw the dog at him and punched him. That's when Scott stabbed her twice in her shoulder and upper back. He fled the scene but was found quickly.
The girl was taken to the hospital, with non life threatening injuries. Scott faces several charges.
