Albany, N.Y. - Governor Cuomo announcing today that hospitalizations in NY from COVID 19 have dropped below 1,000 for the first time since March 18th. At the peak of the pandemic in the state, that number was 18,825. There were 17 COVID rlated deaths in the past 24 hours.
Central New York, Finger Lakes, Mohawk Valley, North Country and Southern Tier will enter Phase IV of Reopening tomorrow.
CUOMO said "after three months of New Yorkers working hard, doing the right thing and taking this seriously, the state has its lowest COVID-19 hospitalization rate since this started,"
Cuomo said "facts are facts, even in this crazy political environment, and what we're saying in New York is we did the right thing."
