City Of Syracuse Opening Up Playgrounds And Spray Features

Syracuse, N.Y. - The City of Syracuse Department of Parks, Recreation and Youth Programs has announced that playgrounds in city parks are now open to the public.

In addition to the playgrounds, outdoor spray features will be available immediately at:

  • Burnet Park Mister
  • Comfort Tyler Park
  • Frazer School Spray Feature
  • McKinley Park Spray Area
  • Thornden Park Spray Circle
  • Union Park Spray Area

In the coming weeks, water systems expected to become available include the following park locations:

  • Lewis Park
  • Lower Onondaga (self-activated)
  • Schiller Park Mushroom
  • Skiddy Park
  • Washington Square Park
  • Wilson Park.

People are still encouraged to continue to practice social distancing and masks will be required.

City pools remain closed for the time-being due to the financial impact of COVID-19 on city government.
