Syracuse, N.Y. - If you are looking for something to do this summer we have some good news and bad news as it relates to two of the most poluar amusement areas in the state.
First the bad news.
Sylvan Beach Amusement Park will not be opening up. They were hoping for the 4th of July but they say due to lack of guidance from state and regional authorities, along with staffing issues and doubts on whether people would even show up led them to decide to stay closed.
On a happier note.
Enchanted Forest Water Safari in Old Forge is reopening this Saturday! The park of course will operate under the social distancing guidlines presented by New York state.Reservations will be required to visit the park, which can be made on their website or by phone. All guests are required to wear face masks everywhere in the park except when they are on water slides or in pools.
All staff will always wear masks.
