The man shot by a Syracuse Police officer has been taken into custody.
Officers responded to a home on Mark Ave Thursday morning after shots were fired in the area. The suspect, Jakelle Davis, is accused of threatening officers with a gun when they arrived on scene. Officer Ryan McGovern fired one shot at Davis, hitting him in the jaw. Davis has been charged with second degree weapon possession and menacing a police officer.
