Syracuse University students will return to campus this fall.
Chancellor Kent Syverud says in-person classes will start on August 24th.
The school plans to operate an accelerated academic calendar. Some students will likely be required to take some additional Friday and weekday classes.
SU students will start classes one week earlier than normal and end them about two weeks earlier. The school’s Thanksgiving Break will mark the end of the in-person instructional period. Review sessions and final exams will be conducted virtually. Campus officials say that the new end of term protocols will help reduce potential exposure to COVID 19.
