Congress approved the CARES Act back in March. It granted $28 million in emergency funding to help keep Centro buses running across CNY.
Most of the funding will be allocated for Onondaga County.
Since the start of the pandemic, Centro has been able to keep most of its workforce employed, despite a major decline in riders and revenue.
