In an effort to demonstrate the ease and speed of a COVID-19 diagnostic test, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo actually took one at his Sunday press briefing. The governor invited a physician up to his table and stood while she performed a nasal swab test on him.
The Governor also mentioned more New Yorkers are being made eligible to get tested for the coronavirus. He says that includes anyone returning to work during phase one of the state's reopening plan, people with symptoms of coronavirus and individuals who have been in contact with someone who has tested positive. The governor says increased testing is a key part of the ongoing effort to keep the virus from spreading.
