Syracuse, N.Y. - The Director of the New York State Fair is sharing his thoughts on the uncertainty surrounding the 2020 event.
In a message posted on social media yesterday, Troy Waffner said the top priority of organizers is to keep visitors safe. Waffner also said that there are a lot of unanswered questions about whether the fair can be held this year. Governor Cuomo has expressed concern about large crowds gathering at the fairgrounds until the coronavirus situation improves statewide.
The fair is currently scheduled to run from August 21st through September 7th.
