Syracuse, N.Y. - There will be no state tournaments for New York high school teams this spring.
The New York State Public High School Athletic Association has announced it is cancelling all playoffs. The decision was made because the coronavirus has already suspended too much of the regular season play.
The decision effects boys and girls track & field, boys tennis, softball, baseball, golf and both boys and girls lacrosse state championships
The fate of New York’s regular seasons could be determined within the next few days.
