Syracuse, N.Y. - A Syracuse VA Medical Center employee has tested positive for the novel coronavirus, or COVID-19, according to the hospital.
The employee is currently in quarantine at their home. Officials say that virus transmission appears to have occurred in the community and not in the hospital.
Everyone that interacted with the employee is being monitored.
There have been no veteran patients who have tested positive for COVID-19 to date.
