New York State On PAUSE Executive Order Now In Effect

Albany, N.Y. - An executive order signed by Governor Cuomo is now in effect statewide.

It's called "New York State on PAUSE," and is aimed at preventing the spread of coronavirus. It requires most businesses to keep their entire workforce home and places that are open must make sure customers are several feet apart. Any business caught breaking the rules can face a fine and even mandatory closure.

Gatherings like parties or other social events are also canceled while sick people are being urged only to leave their homes if absolutely necessary.
