Utica, N.Y. - Former CNY Congressman Richard Hanna has died.
The Republican and businessman passed away following a battle with cancer. He was 69.
Hanna was first elected to Congress in 2010 and served as the 24th Congressional District representative, before becoming the Representative until 2017 for New York's 22nd Congressional District following redistricting.
Hanna ran his own construction business before ruining for Congress. He is survived by his wife and their two children.
