Albany, N.Y. - State Attorney General Letitia James is warning New Yorkers to be aware of scams connected to the coronavirus.
Last week, the AG's office issued a cease and desist order to a televangelist who is advertising a product online that he claims treats the illness. Currently, there are no FDA-approved treatments for coronavirus. There have also been reports of price gouging by companies who are charging more for items that are commonly used to prevent the spread of germs.
Anyone with questions or concerns is urged to call the Attorney General's office.
