Syracuse,N.Y.- Daylight saving time begins this weekend.
The bad news is we lose an hour of sleep as we set our clocks ahead Saturday night, Sunday morning.
The good news is the sun will set an hour later.
The days will keep getting longer through the summer solstice on Saturday, June 20.
As a reminder, firefighters say Daylight Saving Time is a good time to check the batteries in all your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, that is if you dont already have the 10 year smoke alarms.
