Salina, N.Y. - Well tomorrow may be the perfect day to dream about being on a beach ..but on Onondaga Lake?!
Experts say it would cost $2.8 million to build the beach and other buildings at the north end of Onondaga Lake. The area would have a bathhouse and concession stand, picnic areas, and more.
You can see what it will look like at the Salina Town Hall tomorrow 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The beach isn’t a done deal it needs yo be approved and funded by the Onondaga County Legislature.
A citizens group opposes the plan, saying there hasn’t been enough testing of the sediment to assure the public’s safety.
