Syracuse Receives Nearly $1 Million To Improve Housing

Syracuse, N.Y. - The state Attorney General's Office is giving Syracuse $965,000 to help make sure homes across the city are safe.

The grant money will be used to hire neighborhood ambassadors who will work with both city leaders and residents in bringing attention to vacant or crumbling properties. None of the property owners themselves will receive any money.

Syracuse is one of ten cities in New York to receive similar funding.
