Town of Westmoreland, N.Y. - A 61-year-old man Oneida County man has died in a fire overnight.
It started around 3 a.m. on 6900 block of Dix Rd in the Town of Westmoreland. Four adults lived at the home. Three were woken up when they heard Ralph Elliot yelling from the living room.
The three got out of their rooms but due to heavy smoke and flames were unable to save Elliot.
Fire investigators say the fire appears to have started near the furnace and hot water tank. They do not think it's suspicious.
