No Injuries Reported Following Oswego County Silo Explosion

Mexico, N.Y. - No injuries were reported following a weekend silo explosion in Oswego County.

The blast happened Saturday night at Comley's Country Creamery in the Town of Mexico. The explosion was so intense that a homeowner told Oswego County Sheriff's Deputies that their house shook three miles away. Some people reported to Emergency dispatchers that they heard the explosion from as far as five miles away.

The creamery building and the owner's house was damaged but the store on the property will remain open and there will be no interruption of milk. It's estimated the explosion caused $10,000 worth of damage.

There's no word on what triggered the blast.
