Student Suspended After Racist Graffiti Found In SUNY-ESF Dorm

Syracuse, N.Y. - A student at the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse is suspended following the discovery of racist graffiti.

Officials say it was found on whiteboards at one of the university's dorms, Centennial Hall. One student was suspended and removed from campus. ESF University Police are investigating if any other students are involved.

University officials say that any other students involved in the incident will face 'serious consequences.'

In a statement, Governor Cuomo praised school officials for responding quickly and called the hateful messages disgusting.

The ESF situation follows numerous bias-related incidents at SU that made national news last year.
