Albany, N.Y. - Governor Cuomo is expected to sign a package of bills today aimed at improving limousine safety.
Lawmakers recently approved several pieces of legislation, including a measure requiring there to be enough seat belts in a limo for all passengers to use. The state will also have the authority to remove potentially dangerous limos from the road. A hotline, app and website will also be created for people who want to express concerns about limos or other for-hire vehicles.
Today's bill singing comes over a year after a limo crash in Schoharie left took the lives of 20 people, including a SUNY Oswego professor.
